The Oregon Ducks have officially cracked the top five in the 2025 transfer portal class re-rank, proving that their offseason strategy was nothing short of a masterclass in roster building. While the Ducks initially used the portal to add depth and fill a few starting spots earlier this year, the landscape shifted dramatically after the 2025 NFL Draft saw a record ten Oregon standouts selected—the highest mark in program history. That exodus of talent left a clear need for veteran reinforcements, and head coach Dan Lanning and his staff responded in a big way.
With 11 commitments, Oregon landed the No. 5 transfer portal class according to 247 Sports, and in The Athletic's recent re-rank, the Ducks held steady at that same spot. As Manny Navarro noted, "It’s hard to argue that a program got more bang for its buck than the Ducks." Nine of the 11 transfers became starters, including four All-Big Ten selections: safety Dillon Thieneman (Purdue), defensive lineman Bear Alexander (USC), left tackle Isaiah World, and left guard Emmanuel Pregnon (USC). Five transfers were drafted, headlined by Thieneman in the first round. The only real miss was former Tulane running back Makhi Hughes, who is now at Houston, while Alexander and tight end Jamari Johnson are set to return in 2026.
Looking back, the class is filled with slam-dunk additions. The offensive line bookends were sealed by World and Alex Harkey, while Pregnon earned first-team All-American honors. Wide receiver Malik Benson emerged late in the season to lead the Ducks in receiving yards, and backup tight end Jamari Johnson finished in the top ten nationally in receiving yards at his position. On the defensive side, Thieneman developed into a first-round pick, and slot corner Jadon Canady has the potential to make a similar impact. While senior cornerback Theran Johnson didn't provide much production, the overall haul has transformed Oregon into a legitimate national contender. For Ducks fans and sports apparel enthusiasts alike, this is a roster worth repping in 2026.
