England's summer of cricket promises excitement with the Women's T20 World Cup and a historic one-off Women's Test at Lord's. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur expressed her dream of playing at the iconic venue. The match is already breaking attendance records, highlighting growing interest in women's cricket.

Every cricketer dreams of walking onto the hallowed turf at Lord's, and for Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, that dream is about to become a reality. The upcoming English summer is shaping up to be a landmark season for women's cricket, headlined by the Women's T20 World Cup starting June 12 and a historic one-off Women's Test at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground from July 10-13.

"It's a dream for every cricketer to play a Test match at Lord's," Kaur shared during a press conference at the BCCI headquarters. "I'd like to thank the BCCI for giving us this opportunity. Hopefully, we'll play our best cricket over the next two months." Her excitement is palpable, and it's easy to see why—this will be the first-ever Women's Test at the "home of cricket," a venue that already holds special memories from the 2017 Women's ODI final between India and England.

The significance of this match extends beyond the players. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia called it a "marquee match" and an "excellent opportunity for our players to get into the limelight at the Mecca of Cricket." He added, "I'm sure our team will come out with colorful results."

The buzz around this historic fixture is already breaking records. With 10 weeks still to go, the Marylebone Cricket Club announced that Lord's has shattered the UK Women's Test match attendance record, with over 23,207 tickets already sold. That's a testament to the growing interest in women's cricket—fans are eager to witness history.

This summer marks 50 years since Rachael Heyhoe Flint first led a women's side onto the Main Ground at Lord's. Now, the venue is preparing for a season defined by women's sport, with 21 women's fixtures scheduled. For cricket lovers and aspiring players alike, this is more than just a match—it's a moment that inspires the next generation.
