The Drake Bulldogs women's basketball program is making moves to strengthen their frontcourt, announcing the signing of transfer forward Allie Myers for the 2026-27 season. The news came via a May 12 press release, signaling the team's commitment to building a competitive roster.

Myers arrives in Des Moines after a stint at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, where she played during the 2025-26 season. While with the Texans, the 6-foot-1 forward proved to be a force on the boards, pulling down 111 rebounds—averaging just under four per game. On the offensive end, she contributed 2.7 points per contest, showcasing her potential as a versatile asset in the paint.

Before her time at Tarleton State, Myers made a name for herself at Seward County Community College, where she spent two seasons earning All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference honors. Her rebounding prowess was on full display at the junior college level, where she averaged an impressive 13 boards per game. As a freshman, she ranked third in the entire NJCAA in rebounding, notching 14 double-doubles along the way. Her standout performance came against Northwest Kansas Tech, where she dropped a personal-best 30 points.

Myers will join a wave of new talent heading to Drake, as the Bulldogs also welcome three incoming freshmen—Alex Couch, Grace Fincham, and Karis Finley—who officially signed last November. With this blend of experience and youth, the Bulldogs are shaping up to be a team to watch in the coming seasons.
