The Timberwolves put 48 minutes of grit, hustle, and physicality on the floor Thursday at Target Center—and took down the best offensive player in basketball because of it.

Minnesota dominated the glass, played harassing defense, and simply out-willed Denver to win Game 6, 110-98, clinching the series 4-2. It's the second time the Timberwolves have bounced the Nuggets in three seasons, a testament to their growing resilience in the postseason.

The Wolves next face San Antonio in the conference semifinals, with Game 1 set for Monday in Texas. But they'll be without Anthony Edwards, Donte DiVincenzo, and possibly Ayo Dosunmu—and it may not matter.

Down four players, including an ill Kyle Anderson, Minnesota relied on an unrelenting will to win and a breakout performance from Jaden McDaniels. He scored a career-high 32 points with 10 rebounds in 45 minutes, all while stifling Jamal Murray on defense. McDaniels talked the talk all series—and walked the walk.

The Timberwolves swarmed every aspect of the game. They out-rebounded Denver 50-33, with five players grabbing at least six boards. They racked up 20 second-chance points to Denver's four, forced 13 turnovers leading to 16 points, and played with a physical edge that left the Nuggets scrambling.

Rudy Gobert flirted with a triple-double, posting 10 points, 13 rebounds, and a stunning eight assists. Terrence Shannon Jr. added 24 points, supplying relentless rim pressure that Denver rarely had an answer for.

Even shorthanded, the collective will of Minnesota simply overwhelmed Denver. For the third straight season, the Wolves are advancing to Round 2—and they're doing it with a brand of basketball built on hustle, heart, and the kind of team-first grit that wins championships.
