FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are gearing up for their 10th anniversary season in the Northwoods League, and they're doing it in style with a major facelift for Herr-Baker Field.
Come 2026, fans will step onto a brand-new AstroTurf playing surface, marking a significant upgrade for the ballpark. This project, a collaborative effort with Marian University and local community partners, promises to elevate the game-day experience from the ground up.
But the improvements don't stop at the field. The Dock Spiders are rolling out a host of fan-friendly additions designed to make every visit more comfortable and enjoyable. Highlights include a new covered group picnic area dubbed Carbliss Corner, refreshed VIP suites with upgraded amenities, and new seating in Section 100 to bring fans closer to the action. Patio tables and improved sight lines will ensure everyone has a great view, while the clubhouse gets new carpeting and modern touches. Enhanced netting will also provide clearer, unobstructed views of the diamond.
Of course, no trip to the ballpark is complete without great food and drink, and the Dock Spiders are delivering on that front too. The 2026 menu will feature a new official sausage provider: Salmon's Meat Products, a Wisconsin favorite. Get ready to try "Bratchos" – a creative twist on nachos topped with bratwurst coins. For craft beer lovers, local brews from Fond du Lac Beer Company and Hoya Hop House will be on tap, alongside wine from Slugger Wine Company and coffee from Farmer Brothers Coffee. Sweet treats include the popular Gillie Cookies, while hearty options like the Three Little Pigs Sandwich, Bacon Cheeseburger, and Spider Sandwich round out the lineup.
