The 2026 NFL Draft did not go as planned for Heisman Trophy finalist Diego Pavia, but he’s still keeping his NFL dream alive.

After becoming the first Heisman Trophy finalist to go undrafted since 2014, Pavia accepted an invitation to the Baltimore Ravens’ rookie minicamp. And that may not be his only opportunity.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter appeared on The Pat McAfee Show to share the latest on Pavia and revealed that multiple teams are interested in bringing him into camp.

“It’s not what he wanted, but I think this is a great opportunity for Diego Pavia at the Baltimore Ravens minicamp,” Schefty said.

He continued, “The Ravens’ minicamp is this weekend, but there are other teams that have minicamps the next weekend. And there are other teams that want to bring him in if the Ravens don’t sign him … So he’s got a couple of invitations, and we’ll see where he winds up.”

While Schefter did not name the teams, it will be interesting to see where he ultimately lands if he is given the opportunity to compete.

Pavia may not have the size that NFL teams are looking for, but you cannot deny his competitiveness. During his final season at Vanderbilt, Pavia completed 70.6 percent of his passes while throwing for 3,539 yards, 29 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. Pavia added 862 yards and 10 touchdowns rushing.

While Pavia is not taking the usual path to the NFL, he has a great opportunity in Baltimore. With a new coaching staff and an established veteran leader like Lamar Jackson, the pieces are in place for Pavia to continue developing his skill set.

If his NFL journey doesn’t pan out, Pavia could take an alternate path by testing the waters in the CFL or the UFL.
