If you're a Pittsburgh Steelers fan who walked away from the 2026 Draft disappointed with the results on the board despite the city taking center stage hosting the draft, you're not the only one.

According to reports from Mike Asti of Pittsburgh Sports Now and Yardbarker, one source who has seen several NFL Drafts from the franchise walked away quite confounded with the team's selections this year.

“It’s as if they were drafting a fantasy team with little research," Asti reported the source said. "It’s one of the worst and most confusing Steelers drafts I can remember.”

The process started off on a sour note for the Steelers, who were reportedly on the phone with Makai Lemon when their in-state rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, traded up and poached the standout wide receiver from USC.

From there, the draft itself wasn't outright bad for Pittsburgh – they did land a top wideout prospect in Germie Bernard in the second round, picked up two offensive linemen in the first two days, and addressed a need at quarterback with Drew Allar.
