Eusebio Di Francesco was left shaking his head after Lecce fell victim to a Juventus goal just 12 seconds into their Serie A clash at the Stadio Via del Mare. The Lecce coach admitted he had warned his players about Juventus' quick kick-off routines during their morning meeting, but the warning went unheeded as Dusan Vlahovic pounced early to put the visitors ahead.

"I showed the team Juve's kick-off routine three times this morning," Di Francesco told Sky Sport Italia with a sigh. "I told them we had to be ready to defend with determination from the very start, and then they scored after 11 seconds."

The nightmare start set the tone for a tense match, with Juventus pushing for more goals. Vlahovic and Pierre Kalulu both had efforts ruled out for offside, while Lecce's Michele Di Gregorio was tested by Santiago Pierotti and Walid Cheddira. Despite the early setback, Lecce fought back and created their own chances, keeping the match tight against a Juventus side battling for a top-four finish.

"This is a Juventus side with a lot of quality," Di Francesco acknowledged. "We managed to stay in the game and create some scoring opportunities of our own. Both teams wanted to win at all costs."

Lecce's resilience earned them applause from the home fans at the final whistle. The team pushed hard until the end, causing problems for Juventus with their determined play. Di Francesco praised his squad's fighting spirit, saying, "This team has a certain DNA. It believes it can compete with everyone when playing in a certain way."

However, he noted room for improvement. "We could've been sharper with the final ball and the cross. That could've allowed us to create more chances." Tactically, Di Francesco adjusted his formation to counter Juventus' threats, using a 4-3-3 setup to prevent passes between the lines from players like Kelly and Cambiaso. "If we tried to close them up, they would get around us on the flanks," he explained.

For fans and players alike, this match was a reminder of the fine margins in Serie A. Lecce's never-say-die attitude and Di Francesco's tactical tweaks show a team growing in confidence, even if the early goal proved too much to overcome.
