Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence, acquired in a trade with the New York Giants for the 10th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, has worn No. 97 throughout his seven NFL seasons.
Lawrence told reporters April 20 that he intended to talk to defensive end Shemar Stewart, who wore the number as a rookie with the Bengals, about a deal for the No. 97 jersey.
It appears discussions took place, as the Bengals revealed via Twitter/X that Lawrence will wear No. 97 with Cincinnati, while Stewart will switch to No. 94.
Defensive tackle Jonathan Allen, who signed with the Bengals in March, will wear No. 93.
DT McKinnley Jackson will wear the No. 91 defensive end Trey Hendrickson wore for the past five seasons.
