The Detroit Lions added their last player Saturday, selecting Tennessee defensive lineman Tyre West with the 222nd overall pick in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

West played all four years of his career with Tennessee, appearing in 48 games and making 65 total tackles.

In 2025, West made 23 tackles, 7½ tackles for loss and four sacks on a Tennessee squad that went 8-5. He can play on the interior or on the edge.

The Lions spent five of their picks on defense this season and added three new players to their defensive line. Along with West and Gill-Howard, the Lions took Michigan edge rusher Derrick Moore in the second round.
