The NBA announced Thursday that Boston Celtics guard Derrick White is the winner of the league's Sportsmanship Award for the 2025-26 season.

This is the second straight year where a Celtics player has earned the honor after former Boston guard Jrue Holiday captured the award last season.

"The 2025-26 NBA Sportsmanship Award winner is... Derrick White!" the NBA's official account posted on Bluesky. "White receives the Joe Dumars Trophy for the annual honor that recognizes the player who best represents the ideals of sportsmanship on the court."

White earned 77 first-place points in the voting and 2,826 total points, edging second-place finisher T.J. McConnell of the Indiana Pacers (2,566 points).

Former Boston center Al Horford finished in fourth place with 2,456 points.

White and the rest of his Celtics teammates will play a pivotal Game 3 in their first-round playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night with the best-of-seven set tied at one game apiece.
