Throughout the NFL draft process, former Washington Huskies wide receiver Denzel Boston has been considered a consensus first-round pick. However, in Jordan Reid's final mock draft ahead of Thursday's selection process for ESPN, the 6-foot-4 pass catcher slipped out of the first round.
In fact, he slid all the way to pick No. 35, where he landed with coach Robert Saleh and former Washington State quarterback Cam Ward on the Tennessee Titans.
"Boston is a big, physical outside receiver who aggressively attacks passes out of the air," Reid wrote. "He has excellent hand-eye coordination to haul in downfield passes and would give Cam Ward another reliable perimeter target."

Reid's projection of how the first round falls isn't what the consensus has been for several months, but it's quickly gaining traction in league circles. While Boston has typically been the fourth wide receiver off the board, behind Ohio State's Carnell Tate, Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson, and USC's Mekhi Lemon, he also fell behind Indiana's Omar Cooper Jr. and Texas A&M's K.C. Concepcion, who went at No. 19 and No. 21, respectively, to the Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers.
While there are plenty of teams in the back end of the first round that have shown interest in Boston, as he's taken visits to check out the Steelers, as well as the Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers, and Las Vegas Raiders, who all pick before the Titans do at No. 35.
After two years of starting for Jedd Fisch and the Huskies, and posting an impressive career with 132 catches for 1,781 yards and 20 touchdowns, Boston looks like he could establish himself as a day one starter in the NFL no matter where he winds up.
