The Dayton Flyers women's basketball program is making strategic moves this offseason, starting with a key addition to the roster and a new voice on the coaching staff. The team secured its first transfer of the spring, welcoming Cori Allen, a 5-foot-10 junior guard from Memphis.

Allen brings immediate experience and versatility, with one season of eligibility remaining. Last year for the Tigers, she was a steady contributor, averaging 6.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in over 30 minutes per game. Her journey back to Dayton is a homecoming of sorts, as she began her collegiate career at Illinois under former Flyers coach Shauna Green.

In a parallel boost for the program, Head Coach Tamika Williams-Jeter fortified her staff by adding Brittany Parker as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Parker arrives after four seasons at Virginia Commonwealth, bringing a reputation for building relationships and developing talent. "Brittany is a huge win for Flyer Nation!" Williams-Jeter stated, highlighting Parker's expected impact on recruiting and post play in the competitive Atlantic 10 conference.

The Flyers also took time to celebrate their recent season, honoring several players at a team banquet. Nayo Lear earned MVP honors, while Molly O'Riordan was named Most Improved Player. Other award winners included Maliah Johnson, Ajok Madol, Olivia Leung, and Nicole Stephens.

As the roster evolves, sophomore guard Kamryn Grant has entered the transfer portal after two seasons with the program. The addition of Cori Allen signals Dayton's intent to reload and compete, blending new talent with a strengthened coaching framework for the upcoming season.
