After being on the Tigers heading into last season, David Pollack is taking a step back in 2026.

David Pollack, the former ESPN analyst and Georgia linebacker, recently shared his thoughts on Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers' future during an episode of his See Ball Get Ball show. After boldly predicting Clemson would win it all in 2025, Pollack watched the Tigers stumble to a 7-6 finish—a far cry from the championship glory he envisioned. But don't count him out as a believer just yet.

"I respect Dabo doing it his way," Pollack said. "I don't think next year they're going to bounce back and win 11 games, but I don't expect them to be near what they were a year ago. I do think they still have a ton of talent on their roster."

Despite the recent struggles, Pollack remains steadfast in his support for Swinney, pointing to the coach's track record as reason for optimism. "When you win as much as he has, and when you are the type of leader and the type of man he is, and what you've done at Clemson—like, you got two national titles, bro," Pollack said. "I'm betting on Dabo. Let's put it that way."

Pollack also dismissed any talk of Swinney being on the hot seat. "If he has another season where he wins eight games, nine games—I don't think he's going to be fired," he added. "I don't think that's the case."

So, what's the real issue in Clemson? According to Pollack, it all comes down to one thing: finding the right quarterback. "They're going to have to find their quarterback," he said. "Cade Klubnik, a couple years ago, that dude had an unbelievable season… But they dang sure better find a guy to spin it."

Even with the on-field challenges, Pollack praised the culture Swinney has built. "What we do is graduate players. What we do is retain players," he said, highlighting the program's foundation. For Clemson fans, the message is clear: the talent is there, the culture is strong, and with the right signal-caller, the Tigers could be poised for a comeback. It's just a matter of time before the roar returns to Death Valley.
