The NFL community mourns the loss of a respected figure, as Dave "Coach Mac" McGinnis passed away Monday afternoon at the age of 74. He was surrounded by family in Nashville.

For Titans fans, Coach Mac's voice became a familiar and beloved part of game day, serving as the insightful color analyst for Titans Radio since 2017. His ability to break down complex plays with clarity made listeners feel like they were right there in the booth with him.

McGinnis leaves behind a formidable legacy in professional football, with a coaching career spanning three decades from 1986 to 2016. He is perhaps best known for his tenure as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, he was a foundational part of the Tennessee Titans' defensive identity, spending eight seasons as linebackers coach under Jeff Fisher during a period that included the team's memorable Super Bowl XXXIV run.
