The Villanova Wildcats are set to host a key target as the transfer portal heats up. Cornell transfer guard Jake Fiegen has scheduled a visit to campus, marking the final stop on his official tour before making a commitment decision.
Fiegen, a 6-foot-4 senior, has narrowed his list to four high-major programs: Villanova, Northwestern, Virginia, and Vanderbilt. He has already visited the other three schools, with his trip to Northwestern reportedly going very well earlier this week. This upcoming visit to Villanova will be his last before he finalizes his choice.
The sharpshooting guard is coming off a standout season at Cornell, where he averaged 17.1 points and 5.1 rebounds while connecting on an impressive 41.4% of his three-point attempts. Over his three-year career with the Big Red, Fiegen appeared in 83 games, bringing valuable experience and proven scoring ability to the table.
While Northwestern is currently seen as a frontrunner and Virginia has also built a strong case, Villanova has the opportunity to make a powerful final impression. Head coach Kyle Neptune and his staff are actively bolstering the roster, having just secured commitments from forwards Kwame Evans Jr. and Devin Royal on Monday, with Arkansas transfer guard DJ Wagner also visiting campus this week.
Fiegen's decision is expected shortly after his visit to Villanova, potentially adding another dynamic piece to the Wildcats' backcourt for the upcoming season.
