Leading the charge is Eric Wilcots, the Badgers' incoming interim chancellor, who will oversee the search process. Lauren Bishop has been tapped to chair the committee, which features two standout former Badgers: Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard and two-time NBA All-Star Michael Finley.

Ballard, a former Wisconsin football player who graduated in 1993, brings a wealth of NFL front-office experience to the table. His reputation as one of the league's top talent evaluators makes him a key voice in finding the right leader for Wisconsin's athletic department. Meanwhile, Finley—who played for the Badgers from 1991 to 1995 before a stellar NBA career—adds a professional basketball perspective that fans can't overlook.
