Indianapolis Colts' free agent defensive tackle, and former draft pick, has been signed by the Minnesota Vikings, the team announced.

Johnson was a fifth-round pick by the Colts in the 2022 NFL draft. After spending his first two seasons in Indianapolis, Johnson was released during roster cutdowns in 2024 and was then claimed on waivers by the Patriots, where he spent that season.

Johnson was then released by New England in May of the 2025 season and was claimed by the Colts, rejoining Indianapolis for last season.

He would appear in 12 games with the Colts in 2025, filling a rotational role. He would record two pressures and five tackles, according to PFF.

As a free agent this offseason, the Colts went in a different direction, as they reshaped their defensive tackle depth. This included trading for Colby Wooden and signing free agents Jerry Tillery and Derrick Nnadi.

In four NFL seasons, Johnson has appeared in 51 games, recording one sack, a fumble recovery, and 41 total tackles.
