After surging to a 13-point lead in the first quarter of Game 2, it looked like the Boston Celtics were going to annihilate the Philadelphia 76ers for the second straight game.

But to their credit, the 76ers didn't quit and didn't go away. They kept battling and outplayed the Celtics for the rest of the game, beating them by 14 points in a game where they were 14.5-point underdogs.

Granted, Boston opened the door for them by missing 37 3-pointers, but they still deserve some credit for rising to the challenge and beating a superior team on the road.

However, many NBA analysts still aren't taking Philadelphia seriously. That includes Chris Broussard, who dismissed them on Wednesday's episode of "First Things First."

“The Sixers are to the Celtics what the Hawks are to the Knicks: a pest… They’re not winning this series...Here’s the problem with the Celtics…They live and die by the 3.”@Chris_Broussard says if Boston is missing 3s, they should take the ball to the basket: pic.twitter.com/KHi4AW4IqU

"The Sixers are to the Celtics what the Hawks are to the Knicks: a pest… They’re not winning this series," Broussard said.

That's probably true, but the Sixers proved that they shouldn't be underestimated. Between Tyrese Maxey, V.J. Edgecombe and Paul George, they have enough star power to compete with Boston. And if they get Joel Embiid back, they'll be even more formidable.

Philadelphia may be a pest, but it's still a dangerous one.
