Delane is one of the more pro-ready cornerbacks in this draft class. His size does not stand out, but his play demeanor and advanced technique helps him possess one of the higher floors in the class at his position. Delane is a scheme-independent cornerback with hasty click-and-close ability in zone combined with a hammer-mentality at the catch point. He loves to get involved as a run stopper and will maximize his contact on a ball-carrier to create turnover opportunities. As with most successful corners in college who like to inflict their will on the opponent, he’ll have to learn how to clean up some of the grabbiness to ensure he won’t cost his team in pivotal moments.
