The countdown to the 2026 NFL season is officially on! The full schedule drops Thursday at 7 p.m. Arrowhead Time, but we’ve already got some juicy intel on the Kansas City Chiefs’ campaign. Here’s everything you need to know so far.

Week 1: A Blockbuster Opener
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Chiefs will kick off the season against the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football. The location? Still under wraps—stay tuned for that reveal.

Home & Away Matchups
Arrowhead Stadium will host the Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, Indianapolis Colts, Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, New York Jets, and San Francisco 49ers. On the road, Kansas City heads to Denver, LA (Chargers), Las Vegas, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams, and Seattle Seahawks.

Tough Test Ahead
Nine of these opponents were playoff teams last season—including both Super Bowl LX participants, the Patriots and Seahawks. That’s a throwback to 2022, when the Chiefs faced the Bengals and Rams after their Super Bowl LVI showdown.

Key Rematches
Outside division rivals, only two games are rematches from 2025: a trip to Buffalo’s new Highmark Stadium (where Kansas City lost 28-21 in Week 9 last year) and a home clash with the Colts at Arrowhead (a 23-20 overtime win for the Chiefs in Week 12).

Betting Lines & Expectations
FanDuel Sportsbook has set the Chiefs’ over/under for regular-season wins at 10.5—tied for second-highest in the NFL with the Bills, 49ers, Seahawks, Eagles, and Lions. Only the Baltimore Ravens and Rams sit higher at 11.5 wins each.

Mark Your Calendar
The full schedule drops Thursday, May 14, at 7 p.m. Arrowhead Time. Catch it live on NFL Network, ESPN2, or the ESPN App. Gear up, Chiefs Kingdom—it’s going to be a season to remember!
