Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella ‘opens the door’ to leaving the club, and there is interest coming in from Barcelona.

There’s been a lot of rumours going around Cucurella – he has been speaking about joining Barcelona recently, and it’s pretty obvious he wants to go back to the club he started at, whether now or later.

As the rumours increase, I suspect that there is more and more chances of Cucurella leaving the club at the end of this season. Whether Barcelona will be able to afford him or not though, is another story, but they might try and find a way to bring him in.

Either way, I think the left back might have already checked out for the season, and you can tell he is getting his head turned by the prospect of playing back in his native land.

Cucurella would welcome a move to Barcelona, and this is on the front page of today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo today, as above.

Within the report, the newspaper states the Spain international ‘opens the door’ to joining the La Liga winners.

It states: ‘For him, a return to Barca would be a personal dream, a special motivation to come back to the club of his life as a more mature player.’

Chelsea may have dodged a bullet on the Estevao Willian front, according to some recent reports from the Sun. Estevao could still miss the World Cup though…
