Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has made a bold claim following his side's 1-1 draw at Anfield, insisting the Blues deserved to leave Liverpool with all three points. The match saw Arne Slot's Liverpool take an early lead through Ryan Gravenberch, but the hosts gradually lost their grip on the game as Chelsea grew in confidence.

Speaking after the match, the 23-year-old England international was clear in his assessment: "We played some really good football, and we deserved three points, but that's the way football goes." Colwill also praised his team's defensive organization, stating: "Defensively, apart from conceding early, I thought we were immense. The back four, the goalkeeper, Moi helping us out – the whole team were great. We defended together, stuck together, fought, and I think you saw that today."

From a Liverpool perspective, it's hard to disagree. After Gravenberch's excellent opener, Chelsea looked the more controlled side for long spells, repeatedly causing problems down Liverpool's right-hand side. Former Liverpool star Jason McAteer highlighted Curtis Jones drifting inside from right-back as a major tactical issue, with Chelsea's Marc Cucurella exploiting that space effectively through his movement and overlapping runs.

The atmosphere at Anfield shifted noticeably after Chelsea's equalizer, with frustration growing both in the stands and on the pitch. For Liverpool, it was another reminder that their early-season momentum needs to translate into more consistent 90-minute performances. For Chelsea and Colwill, it was a statement of intent—a sign that the Blues are finding their identity and belief under their current setup.
