Cesc Fabregas has opened the door to a potential future at the Santiago Bernabéu, admitting he wouldn't rule out managing Real Madrid one day. The Como boss, who rose through Barcelona's La Masia academy and later returned to the Catalan giants as a senior player, made the comments during an interview with Cadena Cope.

Currently making waves in Serie A, Fabregas guided Como to their first-ever European qualification over the weekend. While speculation has linked him with top clubs, including former side Chelsea and Real Madrid, the Spanish tactician remains focused on his current project. "I'm a shareholder at Como, I saw a project to start coaching, I have a contract, and I'm very relaxed," he explained. "I'm in a place that helps me grow, and I'm very happy. I'm the one who makes the signings."

When asked about managerial influences, Fabregas praised Luis Enrique's recent work but reserved special admiration for Carlo Ancelotti. "If there was one manager I'd have liked to work with as a player, it's Ancelotti," he said, highlighting the Italian's human touch. On the prospect of managing Real Madrid, Fabregas was candid: "I don't have a red line. The only thing I'm clear about is that I wouldn't want to be an assistant—I want to be a head coach. As for Real Madrid? I haven't even thought about it or considered it. I haven't had time for anything."

The conversation also touched on Vinicius Junior's reaction to being substituted by Xabi Alonso during El Clásico, a moment some have pointed to as a turning point in Real Madrid's difficult season. Fabregas offered a manager's perspective: "What happened with Xabi Alonso and Vinicius... it's a moment where you have to be prepared to make a good decision. What makes you a better coach is that you have to think about the team first. Nobody is better than the team, nobody is stronger than the team, and nobody is above the team."
