SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The San Angelo Central High School gymnastics teams are hoping to make headlines again at the Texas State Championships this weekend at the Odessa Permian gymnasium.
The Lady Cats will be eyeing an eighth-straight state championship under longtime head coach Tony Walker.
Meanwhile, the Central boys are seeded fourth this weekend, but they’re hoping to move up a spot if everything falls into place.
Compulsory routines are scheduled for Friday, followed by optionals on Saturday.
The state meet will be the final appearance for Lady Cats seniors Allison Garnett, Steely Young, Addison McDuffie and Ava Bedard.
On the boys’ side, Kern Arrott’s team has five seniors — Nic Atchison, Carson Freeman, Brady Stewart, Cadyn Stuart and Adam Williams.
