Get ready for an inspiring display of grit, grace, and gold medals! Seniors from across Central Florida are lacing up their sneakers and training hard for the 2026 Senior Olympics, a spirited competition that proves age is truly just a number.

Hosted by TLC Management, this year’s event is set for 10 a.m. on May 19 at the Land O’ Lakes Recreation Center (3032 Collier Parkway). Eight skilled nursing and assisted living communities from the region will go head-to-head, bringing their best game for medals, bragging rights, and something even bigger—hope.

Current and former residents from TLC’s participating communities have been putting in the work locally, preparing for everything from athletic events to parade ceremonies. The day will also feature special guests and a powerful theme: the "Platform of Hope," celebrating residents who are recovering from illness or injury.

“The Senior Olympics gives our residents the opportunity to say, life isn’t over just because of injury or illness,” said Dennis Ott, vice president of community relations. “In fact, there is hope that tomorrow will be filled with ‘rich’ memories because of rehabilitation.”

This isn’t just about competition—it’s about determination, teamwork, and rewriting what’s possible at any stage of life. Whether you’re a participant, a spectator, or someone looking for a little motivation, the 2026 Senior Olympics is a reminder that the will to move, compete, and connect never fades.

TLC Management operates skilled nursing homes, assisted living centers, independent living communities, and rehabilitation centers across Florida, Indiana, and Ohio. For those in the sports apparel world, this event is a perfect example of why comfortable, functional gear matters—whether you’re training for a race or cheering from the sidelines.
