Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown played well in the Boston Celtics' Game 2 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday. Unfortunately, none of their teammates did, failing to replicate their incredible Game 1 success.

Brown led all players in scoring with 36 points, while Tatum scored 19 and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds. It wasn't enough, however, as the Celtics blew a double-digit lead and lost 111-97 at TD Garden.

Fortunately for Boston, both players have been in this position many times over the past decade. After the game, Brown and Tatum both expressed what they think the Celtics need to do to bounce back in Game 3 in Philadelphia on Friday.

"We all got a job to do. Our job is to focus on the things that we can control and going out there and playing," Tatum said during his postgame press conference. "Good or bad, we can't necessarily listen to the outside noise."

Meanwhile, Brown embraced the challenge of learning from Game 2 and working hard over the next few days to prepare for Game 3.

"I’m looking forward to it," Brown said via Jay King of The Athletic (subscription required). "I’m looking forward to the film session. We’re still learning and growing as a team, so these opportunities you can look at it as a negative or you can look at it as a positive. So we’ll learn from it and then we’ll get back to Celtics basketball."

Both players highlighted the importance of maintaining a consistent approach and not getting too down after a loss. They also noted the value of teamwork and supporting each other through highs and lows.

"We’ve just got to continue to have the right mentality and have each other’s back, and just breathe," Brown said. "At the end of the day it’s basketball, but you’ve got to still play with a force. We can’t allow the other team to take advantage of us, in a way, offensively or defensively. So, it’s going to be a journey. It’s going to be some ups and some downs, but I’m looking forward to it with my guys."

"Playoffs are a roller coaster," Tatum agreed. "I think what I’ve learned throughout my nine years in the playoffs is just stay even-keeled throughout, right? And I think the team that sticks together and does that from an emotional standpoint will be fine."
