Brown, 29, didn't mince words after the 109-100 defeat on May 3, which capped a stunning collapse after Boston had built a 3-1 series lead. "They clearly had an agenda," Brown said, pointing to the 10 offensive fouls called against him in the series. His theory? It all stems from his outspoken criticism of officials during the regular season.

"Maybe because I spoke and was critical of the refs in the regular season," Brown suggested. "So, you know how they responded, 'You're gonna lead the playoffs in offensive fouls.' That was the response from the officiating crew, you could clearly tell."

The All-Star guard even claimed that league officials admitted to the targeting. "I actually spoke to some refs and they said it was an agenda going into each game," Brown revealed. He argued that plays he was penalized for are routine across the league, questioning, "So why are you targeting me?"
