With spring ball in the rearview mirror, Texas A&M is already looking ahead to a pivotal 2026 season. After seeing a program-record 10 players selected in the NFL Draft—including star wide receiver KC Concepcion, who went 24th overall to the Cleveland Browns—the Aggies are leaning heavily on their 17 transfer portal additions to maintain momentum.
Enter Isaiah Horton, a 6'4" wideout who spent last season at Alabama and is already turning heads in College Station. During his lone year with the Crimson Tide, Horton hauled in 42 catches for 511 yards and eight touchdowns—including a three-score performance against Auburn in the regular-season finale. His size and ability to stretch the field address a glaring need for the Aggies, who struggled in the red zone last season despite nearly 2,000 combined receiving yards from Concepcion and junior Mario Craver.
CBS Sports recently ranked Horton as the 16th most important transfer addition in the country, making him the second wide receiver on the list behind new Texas WR Cam Coleman. Projected to start as the Aggies' X receiver, Horton's presence should give quarterback Marcel Reed more confidence to take shots downfield on 50/50 balls—a dynamic that was often missing in 2025.
If his performance in the Maroon & White Game is any indication, Horton is poised for a breakout season in Aggieland. And for fans stocking up on gear, a Horton jersey might just be the hottest item this fall.
