The Arizona Cardinals made some notable roster moves on Thursday, locking in three of their Day 3 draft picks while also parting ways with a veteran wide receiver.
Fifth-round wide receiver Reggie Virgil, sixth-round linebacker Karson Sharar, and seventh-round offensive lineman Jayden Williams all officially signed their rookie contracts. For Virgil, this marks the start of an uphill battle in a crowded receiver room that already features 12 other players. He'll be competing for snaps behind established names like Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, and Kendrick Bourne.
Both Virgil and Sharar will need to make their mark on special teams to secure a roster spot—a path that looks especially promising for Sharar, who logged over 570 special teams snaps during his college career at Iowa. Williams, meanwhile, brings valuable versatility to the offensive line. The Ole Miss product started every game at right tackle last season and has 19 career starts at left tackle dating back to 2022.
In addition to the signings, the Cardinals announced the release of wide receiver Andre Baccellia. The team also designated offensive lineman Valentin Senn as their international player, a move that allows the Cardinals to carry 91 players on their roster this offseason—one more than the usual limit.
