The Arizona Cardinals have officially unveiled the jersey numbers for all seven of their 2026 rookie draft picks, and there's plenty of intrigue surrounding the selections. General manager Monti Ossenfort made headlines with two particularly polarizing choices: running back Jeremiyah Love, taken third overall, and third-round quarterback Carson Beck. Both players occupy premier positions, and if they live up to expectations, their numbers could become iconic at State Farm Stadium for years to come.
Love will don No. 4, the same number he wore in college, making him the 20th player in Cardinals history to sport that jersey. The last was wide receiver Greg Dortch in 2025, while the most notable former wearer was the late Rondale Moore, who tragically passed away in February. Beck, meanwhile, will switch to a new look in the NFL, taking No. 19. He becomes the 31st Cardinal to wear it, following quarterbacks Kedon Slovis and Trace McSorley. The most famous player to have worn No. 19 is Super Bowl champion and Pro Bowler Tom Tupa, who famously transitioned from quarterback to punter later in his career.
Among the remaining five draft picks, four are inheriting numbers from last season's roster. A standout example is fourth-round pick Kaleb Proctor, who will take over No. 94 after the team released veteran Dalvin Tomlinson earlier in the offseason. The only rookie opting for a fresh number is offensive lineman Chase Bisontis, who chose No. 57—a jersey not used since 2022. The 21-year-old is expected to start at right guard from day one, aiming to make his mark with a clean slate.
