Callum McGregor has seen plenty of drama in his Celtic career, but even he admits the last-gasp 3-2 victory at Fir Park might be the biggest moment he's ever witnessed. With the game seemingly headed for a draw—a result that would have left Celtic needing to beat Hearts by four clear goals on Saturday—the Hoops were awarded a penalty after a VAR review for handball. Up stepped Kelechi Iheanacho, who coolly slotted home to snatch all three points. Now, a simple win over Hearts at the weekend will secure the title once again.

"You do the maths around what we would have had to do at the weekend," McGregor told Celtic TV after the match. "But credit to him. He's a big personality, a big player who steps up in the big moments and gets us over the line. Now it's in our own hands."

The Celtic captain reflected on a hard-fought contest that ebbed and flowed. "Motherwell started well, and then I thought we got control when we scored. But it was a game that went back and forth. They're good with the ball, they make you work hard. After everything the boys put in over the weekend—emotionally, physically—to still be recovering and then reach that level again, I definitely thought we deserved to win over the balance of play."

McGregor acknowledged the team's resilience in turning their season around. "From where we were in late December, to be back involved, and we've been under pressure for two or three months having to win every game, the players have responded so well. Now we have the chance to have our day on Saturday."

With the title race going down to the wire, the focus is now on preparation and execution. "It's about preparing properly, resting over the next two days, and then we have to go for it. I'm sure the stadium will be white hot in terms of atmosphere. We have to take the game to them and see if we can win it."
