Caitlin Clark wasted no time making headlines in her return to the WNBA. The Indiana Fever star scored 20 points in 31 minutes during Saturday's regular-season opener, but it wasn't enough as the Fever fell 107-104 to the Dallas Wings at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The game itself was a rollercoaster—complete with an injury scare, accusations of flopping, and a missed game-tying three-pointer by Clark in the final seconds. But the drama didn't end there. After the final buzzer, Clark traded the hardwood for a concert stage, walking out with country music star Morgan Wallen at Lucas Oil Stadium for his sold-out Indianapolis show.

Wallen, 32, was wrapping up a two-night stop on his Still the Problem Tour, and Clark's appearance alongside him sparked immediate debate. Critics pointed to Wallen's past controversies, including a 2021 racial slur incident and a 2024 chair-throwing incident in Nashville. "No why did i just witness caitlin clark with morgan wallen tonight, like why would she do that," one fan posted on X.

But others were quick to defend Clark, noting that NFL stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have also joined Wallen on stage without backlash. "All of the weirdos calling Caitlin Clark racist for walking out on stage at a Morgan Wallen Concert need to get a life," another user wrote.

Back on the court, Clark's return was anything but quiet. She was caught on the game broadcast saying "flopping all f—ing day" to Dallas guard Aziaha James after an offensive foul call. She also left the bench twice to have her back adjusted, but returned each time and said she felt fine after the game, per ESPN.

Clark's three-point shooting remains a work in progress—she hit just 2 of 9 attempts, including a potential game-tying shot in the final 10 seconds that missed. Still, the Fever star is clearly embracing the spotlight, both on and off the court.
