Get ready for an epic night of combat sports. The Rousey vs. Carano broadcast on Saturday, May 16, at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles just got a major boost, with two of the biggest names in MMA history joining the on-air team.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez will step into the broadcast booth alongside fellow ex-champ Jon Jones, bringing a wealth of experience and star power to the event. They'll be joined by former welterweight king Tyron Woodley, UFC veteran Kenny Florian, and Cat Zingano—a former opponent of Ronda Rousey herself.

MVP released the full lineup of talent on Wednesday, and it reads like a who's-who of MMA royalty. Here’s the complete broadcast team:

  • Elle Duncan: Netflix lead anchor
  • Kenny Florian: Color commentary
  • Ariel Helwani: Main desk host
  • Mauro Ranallo: Live play-by-play
  • Sibley Scoles: Roving reporter
  • Sean Wheelock: Rules and scoring
  • Tyron Woodley: Main desk host
  • Kody "Big Mo" Mommaerts: In-cage announcer
  • Jon Jones: Expert commentary and analysis
  • Cain Velasquez: Expert commentary and analysis
  • Cat Zingano: Expert commentary and analysis

Velasquez, now 43, is a particularly intriguing addition. His last MMA fight was a technical knockout loss to Francis Ngannou back in early 2019—and "The Predator" himself is competing on the May 16 card against a fellow UFC veteran. Adding to the drama, Velasquez is just a couple of months removed from serving a prison sentence for a 2022 vigilante shooting.

If Ngannou, 39, is too busy to pay attention to his former foe, perhaps Velasquez can line up another heavyweight staredown with "Bones" Jones. Either way, the commentary booth is shaping up to be as compelling as the fights themselves.

Here’s the current Rousey vs. Carano fight week schedule:

  • Open Workouts: Wed., May 13 at 6pm PT at Venice Beach Basketball Courts
  • Press Conference: Thurs., May 14 at 6pm PT at Intuit Dome Outdoor Plaza
  • Weigh-Ins: Fri., May 15 at 6pm PT at Intuit Dome Outdoor Plaza
