JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — ETSU capped off another series win in dominant fashion Sunday, rolling past The Citadel 12-1 in a run-rule victory at Thomas Stadium.
The Buccaneers improved to 25-12 overall and 8-4 in Southern Conference play, securing their sixth straight series win.
ETSU’s offense erupted for 16 hits, including three home runs, with the top four hitters leading the charge. Jamie Palmese led the Bucs with a career-high five RBIs, highlighted by a three-run homer in the first inning and a two-run double later in the game.
Tristan Curless and Henry Ferguson each recorded four-hit games, while Nate Conner and Tyler Fetterman also sent a pair out of the park.
Freshman right-hander Cooper Jones turned in a strong outing, earning his third win of the season after allowing one run on four hits over a career-high six-plus innings. He struck out eight, matching his season best.
ETSU returns to action Tuesday with a road matchup against Appalachian State.
