Lille OSC are currently well-placed in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification. With three gameweeks remaining in Ligue 1, they are fourth, level on points with Olympique Lyonnais in third. Fourth place would be enough for LOSC to guarantee themselves a place in the UCL qualification rounds. Third would qualify them automatically for the league phase.
However, change could be afoot. Bruno Genesio has often been criticised since replacing Paulo Fonseca in the dugout, despite last season’s performances in the UCL and despite consistently putting the club in contention for UCL qualification. He has done so in spite of some big-name departures. Notably, Jonathan David, Edon Zhegrova, and Angel Gomes all left last summer.
But this summer, there could be a managerial change. As per a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Les Dogues are in the market for a new manager, and, specifically, they are in the market for a foreign manager.
