The Browns' amount of travel for the 2026 season ranks towards to bottom in the NFL.

When the NFL schedule drops Thursday night, the Cleveland Browns might want to thank the league office. While some teams are packing their bags for international flights and coast-to-coast road trips, the Browns are staying close to home—very close.

Cleveland ranks 31st in the NFL for total miles traveled during the 2026 season, clocking in at just 9,073 miles. The only team that will travel less? The Carolina Panthers, with a mere 8,740 miles. That puts the Browns near the bottom of the league in travel, a welcome change for a team that's used to crisscrossing the country.

So, where are they going? The Browns' road schedule is a tour of the familiar: Baltimore, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Tampa, Tennessee, and New York (twice). Notice something missing? No trips out west. Every opponent from the West Coast will have to come to Cleveland, not the other way around.

What does this mean for the team on the field? While it's tough to quantify the impact of fewer miles, less travel means less time in airports, less jet lag, and more time in the practice facility. For a team with a first-time head coach, that consistency could be a quiet advantage. And with no international game on the schedule—the only AFC North team without one—the Browns are keeping things simple.

In a league where travel can wear down even the best teams, Cleveland's light schedule might just be the break they need to hit the ground running.
