The Cleveland Browns will find out their 2026 NFL schedule when released this week. What are you rooting for this year?

The NFL schedule release is finally here, and for Cleveland Browns fans, it's time to start dreaming about the 2026 season. After 15+ years covering Cleveland sports, I've learned there are three types of teams that really get me excited: title contenders, young up-and-comers building something special, and teams that are bad enough to land a top draft pick. Let's be honest—nobody's expecting a Super Bowl run from the Browns in 2026, so that leaves us hoping for either a team on the rise or one that bottoms out for a brighter future.

Given the talent we've added in the last two drafts, the Browns should start the year with some real promise. That's got me thinking about three things I'm rooting for when the 2026 schedule drops:

1. A Winnable Week 1 Matchup
It's impossible to predict which teams will be "easy" this far out, but a young Browns roster would benefit hugely from a game they can win right out of the gate. I don't want to see any AFC North rivals in Week 1—give us a chance to build some momentum before the divisional grind begins.

2. Space Between the Ravens and Steelers
The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers are always physical, punishing opponents. It feels like the Browns always get them in back-to-back weeks, often with a short turnaround. For 2026, unless it's the end of the season, I'd love to see a little breathing room between those two bruising matchups. This young roster needs a break.

3. An Overseas Game (Selfishly)
This one's personal. My wife and I had an incredible time at Cleveland's London game last year, and another international trip gives us the perfect excuse to plan another adventure. Here's hoping the Browns get a passport stamp in 2026.

What about you? Are you rooting for a home game on your birthday? A prime-time showdown? Let us know what's on your wish list for the Browns' 2026 schedule.
