The Cleveland Browns have made some very interesting decisions over the past few years, and did so once again in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL draft.
The Browns selected another quarterback, taking Arkansas signal-caller Taylen Green at No. 182. The Browns became the first team in 15 years to take three quarterbacks in two drafts, according to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.
This obviously raised questions about what the Browns plan to do at quarterback and what it means for Shedeur Sanders.
Speaking about Sanders, it sounds like the two actually have a decent relationship, as Green admitted that he's excited to play with Sanders and learn from him after he had a very successful career at Colorado and showed some decent signs in his first year in Cleveland.
“I mean, I know of him. I don’t have a personal relationship with him. He played high school in Texas, so we went to similar camps — that’s how I know of him,” Green said, per Cleveland. “But what he did at Colorado and last year was really good. I’m just excited to work with him and pick things up from him and everybody in the quarterback room. Those guys have had success, not just in college, but in the NFL as well.”
Unlike Sanders, Green will really have to prove that he can stick in the NFL. It'll be interesting to see how that all works out, but it's always a good sign to see that a player is coming in and has respect for the others around him.
No matter what anybody wants to say, a lot of the guys in the Browns quarterback room have found success, whether it be in the NFL or college.
"Whenever I had entered the transfer portal after my sophomore season, I had actually gone down to Colorado and met Shedeur. He's a great guy, a great leader. I just can't wait to build that relationship and build that connection with him."
