Browns get confusing Denzel Boston snub in top-100 best picks in NFL Draft originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Cleveland Browns made a lot of picks in this year's NFL Draft, and their class has been widely panned as one of the best across the entire NFL.
Spencer Fano, after a trade-down, KC Concepcion, Denzel Boston, and Emmanuel McNeill-Warren made for a great haul.
ESPN's Matt Miller agrees, for the most part, with the McNeill-Warren pick ranked as his 13th best, as he was a "steal." However, despite being a value at 37th overall, Boston was not mentioned among the top-100 best picks in a confusing take from Miller.
Miller has McNeill Warren as the 13th best pick, Fano as the 36th best selection, and Concepcion as the 58th best pick.
"I have mixed feelings about the Browns' draft," Miller writes, "but getting McNeill-Warren 38 picks later than his ranking is a steal."
While Miller likes the McNeill-Warren selection, and also ranked the Fano and Concepcion picks inside the top 60 best picks this year, his lack of inclusion of Boston is noteworthy. He was a solid value, but isn't a top-100 pick this year somehow.

It's odd that Boston, someone who was routinely ranked as a first-round prospect by different analysts, wouldn't be a top-100 pick at his draft slot.
The Browns got Boston as a steal in Round 2, and while it might not have been as big of a steal as other picks the Browns made, it's still better than a lot of the other picks that Miller ranks inside the top-100.
If Boston were the Round 1 pick, not including him here wouldn't be too surprising, as not all first-round picks are present on this list from Miller. But, as a good value in Round 2, it's unexpected that Miller wouldn't have Boston as one of the 100 best picks of the draft.
