Instead of packaging picks to move up, the Browns are reportedly looking to trade back from their No. 6 overall selection. However, they aren't the only team with that idea. According to ESPN's Jordan Reid, the Arizona Cardinals, who hold the No. 3 pick, are also seeking to move down within the top 10.

This creates a direct and problematic competition for Cleveland. For any team looking to trade up, the Cardinals' higher pick is simply more attractive, offering a better guarantee of landing a top prospect. The Browns' leverage in a potential deal is immediately undercut.

The dynamic is perfectly illustrated by the edge rusher market. The New York Jets are expected to take one of the top prospects, Arvell Reese or David Bailey, early. If Arizona trades out of the No. 3 spot, the other elite edge could be snapped up immediately, removing a major incentive for another team to trade up to Cleveland's spot at No. 6.

If both top edge rushers are gone by pick six, the Browns would need a team to be extremely high on the next tier of talent—players like safety Sonny Styles, cornerback Caleb Downs, or defensive end Ruben Bain Jr.—to justify moving up. Finding that perfect trade partner becomes a much tougher challenge.
