Broncos draft picks have chosen their jersey numbers, and RB Jonah Coleman did NOT select No. 5.

The Denver Broncos have officially kicked off rookie minicamp, and all seven members of their 2026 draft class have selected their jersey numbers for the upcoming season. While these numbers can still change once the 53-man roster is finalized, they give fans an early glimpse at how the new faces will look on the field.

One of the most intriguing decisions came from running back Jonah Coleman, who teased wearing No. 5 on social media but ultimately chose No. 20 instead. Coleman, who wore No. 1 during his college days at Washington, couldn't snag that digit either—it's already taken by tight end Evan Engram in Denver. It's a classic rookie number shuffle, and fans will be watching to see if he switches again down the line.

On the offensive side, tight end Justin Joly has gone with No. 80 after wearing No. 7 in college. That number wasn't available, however, as it's retired by the Broncos in honor of Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway. A smart move by Joly to pick a classic tight end number that fits the team's tradition.

Here's the full list of jersey numbers for the Broncos' 2026 draft class, courtesy of the team:

  • RB Jonah Coleman — No. 20
  • TE Justin Joly — No. 80
  • Others TBD (check team announcements for the complete lineup)

Keep in mind, these numbers aren't set in stone. It's common for rookies to switch digits once the 53-man roster is locked in, so don't be surprised if a few of these change before Week 1. For now, it's all about getting familiar with the new names and numbers as the Broncos build toward the season.
