The Denver Broncos have locked up their final two selections from the 2026 NFL Draft, signing seventh-round tight end Dallen Bentley to a four-year rookie deal. This move comes just one day after the team inked linebacker Red Murdock, who was the very last pick of the draft.

Bentley, selected with the 256th overall pick, brings an intriguing story to the Broncos' tight end room. After a quiet start to his college career at Utah—managing just three catches over his first two seasons—the 6-foot-4 pass-catcher exploded in 2025, hauling in 48 receptions for 620 yards and six touchdowns. That breakout season clearly caught the eye of Denver's scouting department, who saw enough potential to use a draft pick on him.

The rookie joins a crowded tight end group in Denver that includes veteran Evan Engram, Adam Trautman, Nate Adkins, Lucas Krull, Caleb Lohner, and fellow rookie Justin Joly, a fifth-round pick. With so much competition for roster spots, Bentley will need to prove his 2025 production wasn't a fluke to earn playing time.

While Bentley and Murdock are now officially under contract, the Broncos still have work to do. Four other draft picks—including Joly—have yet to sign their rookie deals. As training camp approaches, expect the team to work quickly to get the entire rookie class locked in and ready to compete.
