Brock Heger is a busy man. Between winning the San Felipe 250 and the Mint 400 earlier this year, not to mention a full race schedule running through the duration of 2026, he's managing to get his hands on other ways to compete when not behind the wheel of a RZR. Less conventional ways, at that, with his latest entrance being in YouTuber Cleetus McFarland's Freedom 500 race in Florida.

Brock Heger is having a career-defining year, dominating the desert by winning both the San Felipe 250 and the legendary Mint 400. But even with a packed racing schedule stretching into 2026, the champion off-road racer can't resist the call of competition—even when it means trading his high-performance Polaris RZR for something a little less conventional.

His latest challenge? Taking on the chaotic, crowd-pleasing spectacle that is the Freedom 500. Hosted by mega-popular automotive YouTuber Cleetus McFarland (real name Garrett Mitchell) at his Bradenton, Florida track, this event is pure, unadulterated fun. The premise is simple: celebrities, racers, and influencers climb into battered, decommissioned Ford Crown Victoria police cruisers and battle for 100 laps of door-banging, paint-trading action.

For a precision driver like Heger, used to navigating brutal desert terrain at high speed, the switch to a heavy, sliding Crown Vic on a tight oval was a whole new ball game. While he didn't find the podium this time, finishing 15th in a field of 27, the competition was fierce. The win went to motorsports icon Brian Deegan, with action sports legend Travis Pastrana taking third, proving the event attracts top-tier talent.

Heger's participation is a perfect fit, especially with Polaris and Cleetus McFarland recently announcing a partnership to create new content. Sending one of Polaris's most decorated factory drivers into the fray was a natural move. While the result wasn't a victory, it showcases the versatile skill and competitive fire that champions like Heger possess, whether they're in a trophy truck, a RZR, or a beat-up Crown Vic. We're betting he'll be back for another shot—and we can't wait to see what he tackles next.
