Just days after the men’s team wrapped up the Bundesliga title, the Bayern Munich Frauen did the same with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Union Berlin.
The Bavarians were paced by goals from Edna Imade (8’), Barbara Dunst (50’), and Giulia Gwinn (84’). Imade’s goal was almost immediately answered by Union Berlin’s Sophie Weidauer (11’) and even when Dunst had given the Frauen a 2-1 lead, Union Berlin’s Lia Kamber (77’) knotted the game at 2-2.
It was not until Gwinn’s game-winner that Bayern Munich could exhale a bit and start to taste an 8th 𝐃𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐟𝐭.

The victory clinched the team’s fourth consecutive title and its fifth crown in six years. Clearly, there is another juggernaut on Säbener Straße.
