Braves Prospect April Stock Watch

Taking a look at which players in the Atlanta Braves system have seen their stock move up or down in April.

As the first full month of minor league baseball winds down, it's the perfect time to check in on which Atlanta Braves prospects are heating up—and who might be cooling off. April has brought some notable shifts in stock for several young talents in the system, and we're here to break it all down for you.

First, a quick note: You won't see Didier Fuentes on this list. Despite an outstanding spring training, his stock hasn't moved significantly in either direction this month. Similarly, undrafted prep infielder Yamvier Carrero has only played eight games in Augusta, but keep an eye on him heading into May. Dalton McIntyre is another name to watch—after struggles last year and a tough start in Rome, he's turned things around with a strong 10-game stint in Augusta.

Ethan Bagwell, SP – Stock Rising
Ethan Bagwell is making his third straight appearance in Augusta, but this season feels different. After a solid 2024 campaign where he posted a 2.88 ERA and 0.98 WHIP over 50 innings, the 20-year-old righty is already halfway to last year's innings total—and he's doing it with more authority. Through 22 innings, Bagwell owns a 3.27 ERA and 1.05 WHIP, but the most exciting development is his increased strikeout rate. After averaging just 5.4 K/9 last year, he's now sitting at a much more impressive 8.6 K/9. This mirrors the kind of leap Rayven Antonio made last season under the same Augusta coaching staff. If Bagwell keeps this up, a promotion to Rome could be on the horizon sooner rather than later.

Logan Braunschweig, OF – Steady Production
A ninth-round senior sign out of UAB, Logan Braunschweig has been a model of consistency for Rome to open the season. Over 75 plate appearances, he's hitting .300/.432/.417 with one home run and four doubles. His 14 walks against 16 strikeouts show excellent plate discipline, and while he's an older prospect—already age-23—his mature approach at the plate is paying dividends. For a team looking for reliable outfield depth, Braunschweig is making a strong case to be noticed.

Whether you're tracking future stars or just love the game, these early-season trends are a great reminder that baseball's future is always in motion. Stay tuned as we continue to follow the Braves' next generation of talent.
