When you put a pitcher like Chris Sale on the mound, good things tend to happen. And when you pair him with a red-hot lineup, you get the kind of night the Braves delivered at Coors Field — a commanding 9-1 victory that sealed another series win.

From the very first inning, Atlanta made it clear they came to play. Facing Rockies opener Brennan Bernardino, Ronald Acuña Jr. kicked things off with a line-drive single, setting the stage for rookie sensation Drake Baldwin. The young catcher didn't waste any time, sending an opposite-field shot over the left-field wall for a two-run homer that had the Braves' dugout buzzing. Ozzie Albies followed with a double, and while Bernardino managed two outs before being pulled for top prospect Chase Dollander, the damage was done. Colorado's "opener" strategy had backfired spectacularly.

While the bats were busy, Sale was doing what aces do — working a clean first inning and handing the momentum right back to his offense. The second inning brought more fireworks as Jorge Mateo doubled and advanced to third on an Acuña groundout. Unfortunately, Acuña pulled up limping on the play, appearing to tweak his hamstring as he walked off the field under his own power. But Baldwin wasn't done, driving Mateo home with another opposite-field line-drive single to extend the lead.

The Rockies threatened in the third after a leadoff single from Karros, but center fielder Mauricio Dubón had other ideas. Making a spectacular sprinting catch while crashing into the wall, Dubón robbed what would have been extra bases and an RBI. It was a game-saving play — Colorado ended up with an RBI double anyway, but without that catch, they could have easily plated two or three runs in the inning.

The Braves broke things wide open in the fourth, scoring three runs on a combination of walks, infield singles, and a frozen-rope double from — you guessed it — Drake Baldwin. That gave Atlanta a commanding 6-1 lead heading into the bottom of the inning, where Sale worked around a walk for another scoreless frame.

Then came the fifth, and the exclamation point. Michael Harris doubled ahead of Austin Riley, who absolutely crushed a 98 MPH fastball into the left-field seats for a two-run homer. It was Riley's second straight productive game at the plate, and it put the game firmly out of reach.

For Braves fans, nights like this are a reminder of what this team can do when everything clicks — elite pitching, timely hitting, and highlight-reel defense. And for anyone looking to channel that winning energy, there's no better way than rocking the same gear the Braves wore while cruising to victory at Coors Field.
