Hearts forwards Claudio Braga and Lawrence Shankland and Motherwell attackers Elijah Just and Tawanda Maswanhise are the four candidates for PFA Scotland's Premiership player of the year award.

Portuguese striker Braga, 26, and Scotland forward Shankland, 30, have scored 34 goals between them this season for leaders Hearts.

Zimbabwe international Maswanhise, 23, is the division's top scorer on 17 and he has 23 in all competitions. New Zealand winger Just, 25 has seven goals and seven assists this term.

Forward Georgia Timms of leaders Hearts, Rangers striker Katie Wilkinson and Glasgow City goalkeeper Lee Gibson and attacker Nicole Kozlova are the SWPL player of the year nominees.

In the SPFL young player of the year category, Dundee's Luke Graham, Arbroath's Findlay Marshall, Rangers' on-loan Tottenham winger Mikey Moore and Falkirk's Barney Stewart are nominated.

Two Rangers players, Laura Berry and May Cruft, as well as Glasgow City's Lisa Forrest and Hibernian's Rosie Livingstone are the SWPL young player of the year candidates.

Fellow players will vote for the winners, with the awards ceremony taking place on 3 May.

Celtic players Emma Lawton and Daizen Maeda won last year's SWPL and Premiership player of the year awards.

Motherwell & Hearts dominate PFA Scotland Team of the Year

Winners St Johnstone have two players, Jamie Gullan and Josh McPake, nominated for the Scottish Championship player of the year along with Dunfermline Athletic's Andrew Tod and Partick Thistle's Ben Stanway.

For League 1 player of the year, leaders Inverness Caledonian Thistle's Alfie Stewart, Peterhead's Kieran Shanks, Hamilton Academical's Oliver Shaw and Stenhousemuir's Ross Taylor are on the ballot.

And Wullie Gibson of Annan Athletic, Spartans' Mark Stowe, Lewis Reid of Stranraer and East Kilbride's John Robertson and are up for the League 2 player of the year prize.
