The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms softball team faced a tough challenge on their home field Thursday, falling to a strong New Richland-HEG squad by a final score of 16-6.
Despite the result, the Awesome Blossoms showed flashes of offensive potential. Kenley Bangert led the charge, driving in two runs for BP. Madelyn Harvey added an RBI double, while Neila Nelson and Ellie Stoen each contributed multi-hit performances to keep the lineup moving.
In the circle, Raylee Miner battled through five innings, racking up an impressive nine strikeouts. The defense will look to tighten up behind the pitching staff as the season progresses.
For athletes on both sides of a hard-fought game like this, performance is key. Whether you're driving in runs like Bangert or anchoring the defense, having reliable, comfortable gear makes all the difference on the diamond.
