The Blooming Prairie baseball team fought hard but ultimately fell 8-6 to New Richland-HEG on the road Thursday. In a classic late-game rally, BP pushed across two runs in the top of the seventh inning, but the comeback bid fell just short against a tough NRHEG squad.

On the mound, Jared Lee shouldered the loss despite a strong strikeout performance, fanning eight batters over five innings of work. At the plate, the offense was led by Gabe Staloch, who reached base three times, scored three runs, and went 2-for-3. Carsten Ingvalson also contributed on both sides, adding an RBI and two runs scored to go with his relief pitching appearance.
